Alia is a 4 year old female that escaped from a puppy mill. she was hit by a car and had a broken pelvis, she delivered puppies naturally with her broken pelvis and it was discovered that she has heartworms so once her puppies are weaned, she will have to undergo the long heartworm treatment. Alia will also be spayed and have her teeth cleaned before she leaves rescue. Alia will be in rescue at least until October 1, xxxx. Stay tuned for updates on her progress. Alia is learning to walk on a leash and to be house trained. Alia's owner must be willing to take her through a basic dog obedience class and provide proof of completion within four months of the adoption. Proof of enrollment in a dog obedience is required before/at the adoption. If you would like to be considered to adopt Alia, you must first apply. Then please contact [email removed]. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC and southern Pennsylvania.
